Akylah M. Cooper’s practice at DDWK is focused on the litigation of commercial and employment law disputes. With a multifaceted legal background that includes immigration, family law, and data privacy, Akylah brings a client-centered, strategic approach to navigating complex disputes. Her broad experience across emotionally charged and high-stakes matters has honed her ability to understand client objectives, anticipate challenges, and deliver tailored, result-driven solutions.
Prior to joining the team at DDWK, Akylah litigated class actions and individual matters spanning across federal, state, and arbitral forums. Her experience includes leading motion practice, managing discovery, conducting depositions, and serving as co-chair in evidentiary hearings that resulted in favorable outcomes for her clients. Akylah’s legal arguments have been cited in court orders, and she has worked closely with subject matter experts to develop litigation strategies and prepare for key testimony, particularly in cases involving privacy and technology issues.
Akylah is a proud Pacific Northwest native who graduated Cum Laude from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law, where she held leadership roles and competed in national advocacy competitions.
